Elite Monsters

What they are

An Elite Monster is a tougher version of a creature you already hunt. It has more health, hits harder, defends better and is worth more experience than its ordinary counterpart, so meeting one in the middle of a hunt is a good moment to pay attention.

Elite Monsters are not a separate hunting ground. They appear among normal spawns, which keeps everyday hunting unpredictable.

Where you meet them

In the current Public Test, Elite variants can appear on selected natural spawns of Dragons, Demons and Hydras. The list may grow as the system is tested. Bosses, raid monsters and summoned creatures are never Elite. Spawn frequency and rewards are test settings and are not final.

Why hunt them

Besides the extra challenge and experience, defeating an Elite Monster earns an Elite Token. Each Elite kill produces exactly one token for one qualifying participant — the one who dealt the most qualifying damage — and the token is delivered to your Depot Inbox. Elite kills are also worth extra companion XP.
